Details: A valid passport is required for entry into Slovenia. A visa is not required for a tourist/business stay up to 90 days. U.S. citizens are encouraged to register at the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ljubljana and obtain updated information on travel and security within Slovenia. Consular sections issue passports to Americans overseas and Reports of Birth for U.S.-citizen children under the age of 18. They advise about the acquisition and loss of nationality. When necessary to verify a document's legal validity in the United States, consular officers may perform notarial services. American citizens residing in Slovenia and those planning extended visits of 3 months or more are encouraged to register with the Consular Section.
