Details: The Consular Section offers help primarily to British citizens in Slovenia. Services include applications for new passports, registry of births and deaths, preparation of the necessary documents for marriage in Slovenia and the undertaking of certain legal procedures. The Consular Section also provides information to Slovene citizens who wish to travel to Great Britain (and the other countries represented by the Embassy) and offers answers to general questions concerning the United Kingdom.
Slovene citizens do not require a visa for short-term tourism, studying or business entry to Great Britain, just their personal documents. For any other purpose a visa is required. As the Consular Section in Ljubljana does not issue visas, the nearest visa issuing post is the British Embassy Zagreb (tel. 00 385 1 4555 310).
